Child Abuse Prevention Month...Day #7. Seeing and Hearing

The long and short of it is that when children's behavior is MOST frustrating for us, that's a sign that they need us most of all. Many parents don't understand that and may react to their kids' behavior by yelling, shaming, hitting, and feeling embarrassed because of what other folks may think of them as parents.  The truth is that we ALL ~ parents AND children ~ have a basic need for acceptance.

You can turn things around in an instant by changing the way you respond to behavior you don't like.
